Free choice blog this week. There were a bunch of civilian deaths in Afghanistan. We then had a work day for our debate things. I’m going to sum up all my research in one blog. The democratic views on environmental laws are as follows: The democratic and republican views on the environment are much the same. More than ¾ democrats believe global warming is occurring and we are already feeling the effects. The belief in democrats that Global warming is occurring and we are already feeling the effects has risen while the number of republican’s who believe in this have decreased. They also want to honor the fishing and hunting heritage with more conservation. Also they reject the healthy economy vs. healthy environment, they don’t believe in the choice of economy over the environment. They also support fee space and air travel. For the death penalty their views are as follow: they were pushing for the death penalty for severe crimes, and also that they want DNA testing and post conviction reviews on those who got the death penalty. The views on Gun control are also as follows: They believe in the right to own guns and to ensure the safety of the people and reduce gun crime they are cracking down on gun crimes. They are also trying to fix the Gun-show loophole that allows a person to buy a gun with out a background check. They generally want more gun laws mainly about licensing.
