Today we are having a review day. We also got our blog assignment for this weekend. It is about the Treaty of Versailles. We are going to have to get a small group of people together for a blog and watch a World War 2 movie. He gave us this assignment that way we can get everything set up. After discussing the new blogs we went over the test. From all of the presentations we were able to create a study guide. The testing will start Wednesday and end Friday. Mr. Bruns showed us where the test questions are at on his website. He also gave of the option of doing a pod cast instead of testing. When you are testing you need to be very specific and give examples while answering your question. You need to do this to receive an A-B grade. It will be difficult. If you don’t know a question move on. You need to be prepared. If you know your facts, you could get through quickly and easily.

Describe the cycle of the Great Depression?
Lose jobs- companies don’t make money $- lose spending . happens again a big circle.
What was the New Deal(1st and 2nd) and it's goals(3 R's)?
A plan of FDR to get people jobs and out of the great depression. 1st helped the top down(wealthy). 2nd helped the common people get jobs, social security checks, etc. RRR- Relief Reform Recovery.
Why did people criticize the New Deal?
People said FDR wasn’t doing enough for all of the people. Felt that the needy weren’t being helped enough. Distributing money from the rich to the poor. Some felt he was doing too much and labeled FDR as a communist. Making people lazy by giving them self checks. Was right in the middle which would make him a good president.
Why was FDR upset with the US Supreme Court and what did he do to try to solve this issue? They were calling some of FDR’s acts unconstitutional. To prevent this he stacked the court by making a lot of Democrats on Supreme Court. This way they would be on his side and pass his laws. He also made the rule that every court justice over the age of 70 there shall be another legislature. That made six more justices and FDR added six democrats, and then it could make it constitutional. It did not pass because then there would be a democratic court. It was not passed also because people felt that he was becoming a dictator.

priming the pump- Where the government put a bunch of money into the economy to help jump start it.
