Today we watched Planet in peril some more. I was not here on friday so im a little behind. They talked about deforestation and potchers.-one story they told was about a nun that really believed in getting rid of deforestation and did a lot like turning the people into the goverment. One day she was walking down a pathway and some men came up to her and they exchanged some words and she pulled out the bible read a passage from it. When she turned around to walk away she was shot.-They talked about how in texas there was a family and how there only son got cancer. The little boy started kimo and the mother started to look for answers. They live in a stinky neitghbor hood that is right next to a plant that lets off the most pollution in america. They found out how people who live 2 miles away from the plant have a 56 percent more chance of getting cancer.-They said that nothing that is happening in a vacum everthing that is happening is interconnected.After the video we went to talk about rwanda and talk about his powerpoint.- some things that i learned that i did not know was Almost all of Africa was contorlled by eruopean powers.
