The biggest cause of the civil war was slavery. There is so many ways slavery condributes to the civil war. Slavery was so popular there were 3,500,000 slaves in the cival war. States wanted to have there choice to choose weather they wanted slave or non-slave states.
Slavery was by far the most important thing about the civil war. Blacks and whites couldnt get along. The whites thought they were almighty, and the blacks had nothing. About 50 years before columbus came to america a guy by the name of Antam Goncalves made the first European discovery in west Africa. If he would have traveled more island he would have found slaves. Later in history they started getting slaves and taking them over to the U.S. Slavery was a huge part of the civil war.
The fight between slave and non-slave states was why they wanted to split the U.S. in half. The New states were disscusing weather they would be slave or slave free states. This got everyone riled up. all the leaders in the south tried everything to get the new states to join there union. Missouri and Kansas were both Slave. Missouri had people go to Kansas to make Missori a slave state.
I personally think that the civil war all came from wat people wanted. The south wanted to be there own country state watever and the north didnt want that . Also the north wanted to be slave free and the south wanted slaves. There were more than About 620,000 people lost there lives during the civial war. Weather it was in combat or disease.
