The Home Front..
They started rationing goods and gas. They would ask people to bring in any scrap metal or anything and use the scraps for war materials. In result to the war, women started to work more in factories. They had low benifits and low income. Very low quality facilities for children. Millions of women started in the factories literally because they had to since the men were off to war. Rosie the Riveter represents american women who worked in factories. A job that a large number of women wanted to have was being a journalist.
