Today we started presentations.

U.S. Home Front

-The American Propaganda's goals was to make the Germans and Japanese to make them look not American

-They made them look like animalistic, demonic, undesirable like so people hate them.

-Rationing is when they give them less food and gas and evening clothing, silk.

-Rubber was a big time ration, we got rubber from Japan so suddenly it was gone, Everything was rationed.

-Everything was limited depending on your number of family members.

-War bonds is how the U.S. paid for the war.

-The government sold war bonds to people.

-They bought them, it was an investment and they would get back.

-Woman didnt have many good paying jobs.

-They had low benefits, low income.

-They started working more in the factories.

-Children had low facilities.

-They started working in factories because they had to when the men were off at war.

-Rosie the Riverter is a cultaral icon and represents woman who worked in factories during World War 2.

-She wanted to show that they could still be women and work men's jobs.

-"Rosie the Riveter" was one of the main peices of music they had in world war 2.

-They worked in factories, offices, military bases, some also had to be journalists, all for women.

-The children had a hard time with the whole thing because they didnt know if they're brother or father was going to come back or not.

-Children were in poor facilities while the mother was at work.
