The last presentation that we will do is the decades video project. It will be like the shows on VH-1, I love the 80's. Each group will get a different decade.

Next Jackie and Bre presented and their topic is the The US Home Front. The home front in general was what people did in the US home front to help win the war. American Progaganda's goals were to make the Japanese and Germans to look like animalistic, demonic, and evil so people hate them. A war bond is way for the government to make money. They gave loans and bonds to people to make money. When the people got their money, they eventually got interest back on that. Rationing was when the government would cut the Americans everyday supplies down to force them to buy war bonds. Silk and rubber were rationed a lot, rubber was taken by Japan and thats why rubber was rationed. People were givin rationed cards. Once your stamps were gone you couldn't get anymore food or anything. Women started working more in the factories. They had low pay, low benefits, and it was hard for them to find places to put their children. It was their part in the war to take over work. Rosie the Riveter was an icon. Rosie wanted to show women they could work and still look like a women and be feminine. Women worked in factories, offices, military bases, and as journalists. During the war is when child care really started.
