For my daily reflective blog today I'm going to actually try and reflect on what I read today and see what I remembered instead of reading a little then typing.A political machine is a group of organized people that work to get their canidate elected. During the Gilded Age, 1870- 1890, there was a lot of bribs and extortion that happened to bussinesses and other people so these groups could have financial support. I think that the "backstabbing ways", for lack of a better term, that were formed them coralate to the modern day mud slinging. I'm very happy I chose this topic because for once I'm actually interested by something in a history class.-Breann Lehr
