Today we were having a blog discussion day. Erin and Jenna watched the Boy in the Stripped Pajamas. The story is told through the one childs eyes named Bruno. His family has to move out of the city and they live by a death camp. They tell Bruno that it is a farm. One day he goes back in the woods and finds a fence. He meets a boy and they become friends and play checkers through the fence. The Jewish boys father went missing so the German boys dug a hole and went inside the fence to help find the father. They mistake taking a shower for a gas chamber and the two friends end up dieing.
The next movie that we talked about was Saving Private Ryan. The Ryan family had four brothers. Three of the brothers died while fighting. A man and some other people go to try and find the last of the Ryan Brothers. The team looking for him doesn't really think it was important, but it was their mission so they had to do it. These were the two movies that I found interesting during blog discussion.
