Today Ms. Bryan told us about the Chapter 9 Project. I think that this project might be interesting to see how different laws have changed throughout the history of the United States.Next Brandon presented on Chapter 8 Section 4. I learned that Coca-Cola was created by John Pemberton. He made it to cure headaches It was sold in pharmacies in Atlanta, Georgia. I also learned that it was recreated to be alcoholic because at first it was made alcoholic. Another thing that I learned was that people started to ride bikes, attend sporting events, began to play sports such baseball and tennis, and Coney Island was an amusement park created to let people escape from their normal lives. Also today Danielle presented Chapter 8 Section 2. I learned that between 1865 through 1895 the government passed a law that you had to attend school for 12 to 16 weeks. Kindergarten was created outside public school system. Throughout history high schools began to grow. African Americans were mostly excluded from public school, in 1890 less than 1% of black teens attended high school. College universities had a huge increase in enrollments because more people wanted to learn and get better jobs. African Americans started to pursue a better education, so that black communities could have higher educated leaders.
