About a week ago 29 year old Olympic Champion swimmer Michael Phelps, was arrested for a DUI and got suspended for six months. He will not be able to compete again until April 6th, 2015 and will withdraw from the 2015 championship team. This isn't his first DUI he had, he got one when he was 19 back in 2004. Phelps pleaded guilty to the charges, and he has avoided the consequences. A judge waived the conviction, which means Phelps faces the same penalties a first-time offender would. If Phelps was convicted, he would face up to one year in jail, $1,000 fine, and lose his licenses for 6 months.
I think he should have more consequences and face the charges he should of actually had which were one year in jail, $1,000 fine, and lose his licenses for a year.
Question- Do you think he should face the consequences as a 1st time offender or a 2nd time offender? Explain why?

2nd time it was his second time getting a DUI. He's got to be a little smarter than that a few years back he got busted with Marijuana. I think he is kinda of an idiot man for getting his 2nd DUI. Ill give him credit he is a good swimmer though
