Music icon and legend Michael Jackson died the summer of 2009. He died at the age of 50. The cause of his death is over dose. His doctor is being charged with homicide because he gave Jackson the drugs. In his early career, he performed with the Jackson Five. He went solo a few years later and recorded Thriller which is still the best selling album of all time.Michael Jackson married Lisa Marie Presley in the spring of 1994. I think it just made sense for the King of Pop and the daughter of the legend Elvis Presley to be married. They were together for two years, but remained friends even after the divorce. In November of 1996, Michael re-married, this time to nurse Deborah Rowe. They had two children together, Michael Joseph Jr. and Paris-Michael Katherine. They were together until 1999 when they also divorced. Rowe gave him full custody of the children. Michael's third child, Prince Michael Jackson II.There were a lot of accusations Michael faced, but they were not true. At the time of his death, Jackson was planning a come-back tour. Those he rehearsed with thought he sounded great, but he died before anyone ever got the chance to hear him one last time.He was a great singer and dancer. The music world will always remember him as one of the best. Even though he was hated by some, Michael Jackson was truly a once in a life time guy, who will always be missed. He influenced the music world greatly with his songs and dance moves he made famous. The King of Pop is gone, but his songs will live on forever.Another tragic event that happened this summer was the death of Farrah Fawcett. Farrah was a great actress. What she probably will be most remembered for is her role in Charlie's Angels. She was born in Corpus Christi, TX on February 2, 1947. Losing her battle with cancer on June 25, 2009 is how she lost her life.Farrah was first diagnosed with cancer in 2006. Shortly thereafter, she had surgery and began chemotherapy. On her 60th birthday, only 4 short months after being diagnosed, she was deemed cancer free. May of 2007, she was told the cancer had returned. She then traveled all the way to Germany for different kinds of rehabilitation, and from the sound of it, it took care of it for the time being. In the spring of 2009, Farrah was taken to the hospital, reported to be in critical condition. She seemed to be doing great three days later when she walked out of the hospital.Only a month later, she was at home, on an IV. It was predicted to be the last chapter of her life. They unfortunately were right. Her father even flew out to LA at his elderly age of 91. She died June 25 in the ICU with her husband and best friend by her side.
