Watergate Scandal
1972- people arrested for stealing from the DNC office in the Watergate Hotel ( head of democratic party)
- did it to get information on democrats- wiretapped equipment - wanted to make sure Nixon got re-elected
- Richard Nixon- security guard saw tape on a door
- Nixon won the next presidential election
- Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein- reporters that uncovered the Watergate scandal
FBI agent William Mark Felt gave the information to Woodward and Bernstein
Nixon resigned- only president to resign from office
