What happened:
- The burglars had been caught while attempting to wiretap phones and steal secret documents
- one of them didn't went it and the second time they got caught
- The goal was to make a reelection of Nixon possible
What happened afterwards:
- Nixon was pardoned and didn't has to go to prison
