The founder of America Birth Control League later know as the Planned Parenthood. She believed that birth control would inable a boy and a girl to enjoy sexual relationships with eachother without worry about the unwanted sideeffects.
She believed that sex was a weakness. Birth control was a way to prevent lower class form having unneeded childern. Like most of the people back then she consider masturbation dangerous. She believed that it would cause damage the natural act of sex. Also it was not just a physical act but also a mental one. Even picturing a women naked is considered masturbating.
She believed that birth control was for the better of the country.
