Treaty of Versailles Project

Australia-

1. How did the Treaty of Versailles impact them? Got Islands from Germany


2. What type(s) of government did this country have in the interwar years(1919-1938)? Federal Constitutional monarchy because of tradition


3. How did their leader, that led them throughout WWII, come to power?MP's split up and curtian became prime minista

4. How did this leader change their country(for the better and worse) prior to WWII? Didn't.


5. What were the goals of the leader? To help defend Great Britian, so they wouldn't loose.


6. What was the military strategy of this country in the inter-war years(1919-1938)? Hitler demanded land so Great Britian was giving them land so they wouldn't have to go into the war, and that's what they did so they would not have to go into the war.


7. What role did they play in WWII? Sent troops over. They were fighting over in G.B and had like 30 fighter pilots with 100 men. Most of them were fighting for G.B and they helped a bit. Also had a big stradegy in the Pacific


8. Who were their allies in WWII? Great Britian


9. How did WWII impact/effect the country?Better friends with the US and started to come away from great britian. more peace time, and better factories and such.

3. How did their leader, that led them throughout WWII, come to power? Sir Robert Borden retired in 1920 where arthur Meighen succeeded in his place. The election of 1921 the liveral party took back office under a new leader, William Lyon Machenzie King.


4. How did this leader change their country(for the better and worse) prior to WWII? Tried to keep everyone unified and happy and set up better facilities.
