We started today by Mr. Bruns saying its hard managing two new groups which i think would be hard. than we did the Map study and now we are starting the blog discussion of iraq. Chelsea and i went first by starting off by talking about Saddem Hussain. We went to war in 1990 with Iraq because, Saudi Arbia asked us to because Iraq invanded Kuwait because Iraq thought they were taking a lot of there oil on there border. The United nations thought that if this wasnt put to a stop this stuff before he started attacking a lot of other countries. the goal of the first Persian gulf war was to get Kuwait free from Iraqi control. The persian Gulf war basically started the terriost hatred of the United States. Iraq did what they did because the thought Kuwait was supposedly taking Iraqs oil says the Iraqi government. What did Iraq have to do since they lost the war?
They had a lot of died solidars. We had 148 solidars die in this war. And we did free Kuwait from the Iraqi war. Saddem basically brain washed his country to make them think they won the war. In left a little over a million died and one third of the country was unemployed.
