today we are talking about our next blog assignment. he wants people to do the three topics he talks about. we also went over the map that our test is going to be over. i know mexico city, mexico[= ha but that is pertty much it. now since it is monday, we have our blog discussions. i did mine on the role the UN and other countries play in the iraq war.
suddam hussein
he came from a poor family, his dad died when he was young, his step dad beat him so he lived with his uncle.
he wanted posters hung up with his face on it.
he helped the poor get better standards of living, he became president in 1978.
people thought he was going to be amazingg. but once he got power, he turned "bad"
he put boundaries everywhere. his family members were disappearing whuch means he peopbably killed them.
he came from being a well liked person to being a hated person.
he was living in a hole, we found him and captured him.
he is not alive anymore.
his trial lasted about nine months, and it ended with him being hung in december 30 2006.
why we went to war in 1980
saudi arabia asked us to come in and help.
we bombed the people that wouldnt get out, we blomed them for 43 days straight.
president bush,father, was president at the timme
goal- get iraq out of quoate (sp)
we went to iraq because suddam hussein invaded.
he invaded them because of oil conditions.
iraq lost.
al quieda started attacking us because we started helping other countries and had our troops in saudi arabia.
consequence for iraq and results of the war
1000s of people were killed and alot more were left homeless.
alot of them lived in poverty after that
it was costly for them and for us.
148 people died from the US
iraq lost but suddam hussein was still in power.
he kinda "brain washed" the people in iraq that iraq won the war.
