us...
fdr signs the lend lease act.. we would lend or lease supplies (we were neutral at this time) annnd.. they were all like, hey yo, g britain. you need a ship? yeah, here's a ship. and after war you give us that ship back, and if its destroyed, its all cool. you just give us one of your ships. they basically did this with the countries that we liked which i guess you would call our allies.

now were looking at soome map..

german uboat warefare.. there were a lot of u boats sunk.. and a lot of merchant ships.. i think.. unless on the map the merchant ships are the green ones.. and if so.. then there were that many.

submarine warefare..

fight back byyy..

ultra// when we figure out where they are

sonar// when we like.. use sonar? yeah...

airplanes searching for u boats (hunter-killers) looking to hunt and kill u boats.

atlantic charter.. churchhill and roosevelt meet off the coast in newfoundland.. we make war goals with gb at this time. we are neutral but we arent reallly neutral and we're making war goals and we're not at war and we dont want hitler to be in power and we will only make peace with germany once the nazis are completely destroyed so deciding that we wanna defeat the nazis is that meaning of the meeting of the atlantic charter.. and basically that decision meant that this war was gonna be heck cause we were making any peace until those nazis were gone.

german invasion of ussr.... biggest mistake in MILITARY WORD HISTORY.. hitler was getting a wee bit bored with the war and the invasion he wanted to do with gb never really happened.. so in the summer of 1941 operation barbarosa happened.. the final plan for the operation was the german invasion of ussr..hitler wanted to get like three places or someething like that.. moscow stanilgrad and ... something else in the general area im guessing. this invasion was a big mistake because .... this pushed them to our side, they had a strong army in terms of numbers and they just had a butt load of stuff. germany was way close to pulling this off though. there was this part of the non aggression pact where hitler got raw materials from the soviet union.. as soon as he invaded the soviet union. that supply of raw materials just stopped.. so then he pretty much lost the oil that soviet union was supplying them.. and other stuff too .. but oil was a big thing. hitler figured that everything was gonnna be a-ok.. so the russians were pretty much awesome.hitler came reeeaaaaaalllllll close to moscow.

admiral yamamoto came up with the pearl harbor plan..but he didnt think that they should attack us but then he was all like so if were gonna attack em lets do it like this

we feared japanese sabatoge from people like attacking that were already on the island so we put like all the ships close together so we could keep an eye on them easier.. but this happened to help the japanese because like.. they could destroy more ships with one bomb and like the ones around it would like catch on fire and all that fun stuff..

pearl harbor is a really shallow harbor so when the japanese attacked us with torpedos they put wooden fins on them to make them more buoyant so they wouldnt just like hit the bottom of the harbor.
