1.3 million lives have been lost as of March 2015 as a result of the US War on Terror
Al qaeda was based in afghanistan- that is why we invaded them

Most everyone supported the War in Afghanistan due to 9-11
Afghanistan was not focused on as much after the Iraq invasion in 2003
Allowed Taliban and al- Qaeda to gain in power of the years
President Trump has stated might send more US troops to stop the increased violence

President Obama wanted to focus more on Afghanistan instead of the Iraq War- Sent 30,000 more troops 12-2009
Started US withdrawal from Afghanistan in July 2011
