Monday - Germany Continued... Major Battles - Battle of the Bulge was the last major battle in the war. Berlin Battle was when they fought in Berlin. D-Day was the turning point in the war. 425,000 died. Hitler tried to go to art school but didn't get in so he tried to join the arm y, but wasn't big enough. Joined the German army instead. He was partially blind by a gas attack and after the war he was alone again. He became the chancellor in 1933, filled with promises but he left out his goals. In WWII Hitler was a bad leader, thought everyone was against him. Austria - Hungary asked him to join them.
Tuesday - Germany Continued Again...... 1938 - Hitler announces that Austria joins the country of Germany. They had a conference because Hitler wanted to take part of Czech. Hitler told them what they wanted to hear, because he knew they didn't want war. Soviet-German Non-Aggression pact. Neither one of them liked the other. Germany and the Soviet Union attacked Poland together. Blitzkrieg - Attack fast, go in as deep into the country as possible, then circle around and trap the opponent. 100,000 of people escaped France into Great Britain. France, Belgium, Yugoslavia, Greece, Finland.......
