The topic for this week is Pearl Harbor. I .want you to tell me what happened on December 7, 1941. Be as descriptive/thorough as possible. Also, what happened as a result of this attack? What were the consequences?
Well, lets see. Obviously the attack on Pearl Harbor was on December 7, 1941. It was an unannouced attack on the United States naval base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii by the Japan Navy. This attack was the whole reason the United States even took part in World War II. The Japanese pretty much did this as a defense so the United States wasnt so powerfull if they came into the war eventually. 188 United States aircrafts were destroyed, 2,402 people were killed and 1,282 wounded. Nazi Germany and Italy quickly declared war on the United States.
