Amendment 24:
- The right that citizens can vote in any primary or any other affection for president or............. didn't get the rest
- Ratified January 23, 1964
- Poll tax pulled people away from voting
- Effected everyone to vote freely and pushed our country into a new era
- Current event: voter ID at the poll makes sure that everyone is who they say they are, others oppose saying it would create issues for that disabled and elderly.
Amendment 25:
- If the president dies in office, the vice president will assume the presidency position
- Ratified February 10, 1967
- Current event: Richard Nixon resigned and so the Vice president will take over
Amendment 26:
- At age 18 boys were being drafted to war, but they weren't able to vote
- Ratified March 23, 1971
- Maryland town is trying to push the age to 16 to be able to vote
Amendment 19:
- Congress can't raise their pay until next election
- Proposed 1789 and Passed 1992
- Current event: Congress disagreed on fiscal 2014 budget. they shut the government down.
