The Valcary; It was not only a nickname but it was a special document.
Saving private ryan; the battle at the end of people holding up the bridge.
The first episode on Band of Brothers;
The manhattahn project; in Germany they had figured out how to split atoms to make atomic bombs. The Jewish were the ones that figure it out.
The Great Raid; It took place in the war in the Pacific. One day the Japanese left the camp and the americans broke into one of the buildings and they found all of the medicine that they were hiding. they got caught.
We also started the presentations again.

1. How did the Treaty of Versailles impact them?
-Fance wanted to gain a sense of security because of their suffering from WWI. They also wanted to regain the land of Alsace-Lorraine that Hermany took from them in 1871
2. What type(s) of government did this country have in the interwar years(1919-1938)?
-Laissez- Faire Economics (hands off economy). This upset socialists. France was a republic. in the 1930s the ideas of Fascism and Communism were popular. AJew, Leon Blum, became the prime minister on June 3rd, 1936 but the popular fromt government fell apart. France mainly focused on their defense for war. The Maginot line was a wall meant to defentd the French on the boarders of Italy and Germany.
