Iran 101:

  • Nuclear powers of the world-original 5 countries- us, Russia, China, Great Brittian, France
  • We were the first country to have nuclear weapons and then other countries started, we tried to limit the nuclear weapons from being built.
  • United States- 1945, Russia- 1949, United Kingdom- 1952, France- 1960, China- 1964, India- 1974: this is when they first tested nuclear weapons.

Friday-

Iran's Nuclear program-

  • started after world war II
  • or help ended in 1979 with the Iranian Revolution
  • starting 2003, the us intelligence agency started believing that Iran was working towards nuclear weapons

current event:  we don't want Iran to get Nuclear weapons. Iran's goal is to relief from economic sanctions. sanctions- not supporting by porting goods and stuff. They also want maintain a peaceful nuclear program. Two deadlines: 1 end of march and 2 end of June. Republicans don't like what they are doing. They wrote a letter to Iran saying that they don't understand our constitution. 

Amendment 20:

  • Gives the ending dates of office for the president and VP
  • Tells who takes the president spot if he dies
  • Vise President takes over

Amendment 21:

  • the government allowed people to drink alcohol legally again 
  • ratified December 5, 1933

Amendment 22:

  • the president cant serve for more than two terms
  • It was established March 21, 1947
  • Americans thought that it wasn't good for a country
  • Today we in the U.S. we don't let the president serve for more than two terms
