Mohmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian president, is a very opinionated man. He is the sixth president. He is driven by his religion and is a Muslim. He has had many beliefs and statments that have been discussed all around the world. Many of them being far-fetched for me, but others may disagree. Below are his main beliefs and my opinions.▪ He believes in the threatening powers that Mahdi has and really believes he will appear. Mahdi is a muslim leader/God.- I don't know what this guy is talking about. He needs to stop reading fantasy stories.▪ He thinks he is the chosen 'person' to work for Mahdi.- The chosen 'person' for a God? Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's impossible.▪ He will do whatever it takes: war, killing, destruction, etc. - to prepare for Mahdi's coming.- I don't believe in this Mahdi guy, Mahmoud is just full of himself.▪ Since he was a mayor, he made major plans for Mahdi's 'big' arrival.- I don't know why he would make major plans for Mahdi.▪ He wanted money for road improvement that lead to a well that he believed Mahdi has been hiding in since the age of nine, over 1100 years ago.- It seems kind of strange to me, he would try and improve a road for something that got here 1100 years ago.▪ He writes notes to ask for things and drops them down a well for his God, Mahdi, to answer his wishes.- I think that this guy is crazy. The notes obviously just dissolve in the water.▪ He believes that Ariel Sharon had a massive stroke because he asked Mahdi to make it happen.- Mahmoud thinks he is so cool. Anyone could say they wanted that to happen. I could say I wanted a baby sister, but not say anything until after she was born.▪ He thinks Jews are enemies to Islam. When he was in power, he wanted to destroy them.- This is just cruel. They just believe in different things.▪ He doesn't believe that the Holocaust happened. He thinks it is a myth.- I have no idea why he doesn't believe this. I'm pretty sure someone just can't make it up, and spread it around the whole world without technology.▪ He wishes that Israel would be wiped out of the map or become part of Europe.- I'm not sure why he wants to get rid of Israel, I don't think it's hurting anyone the way it is now.▪ During his speech at United Nations, he quoted that Mahdi would come and save the world. He said that a bright light surrounded him and made everyone keep their eyes on him.- Woah! A bright light! It's called the sun, dude. Or maybe if he got lucky, a spotlight, but seriously?▪ He believes that the earth belongs to Allah's and all of the people must believe in his Islamic faith or they will be destroyed.- He gets a little harsh, I don't like it. I guess I would be destroyed, considering I don't believe is Allah.▪ He believes in the afterlife and that it is paradise. He thinks that if a faithful person kills a non-believer, he will go to Allah's paradise, and if a faithful person gets killed while sharing his beliefs, he will still go to the paradise.- This one is just a little weird.
