On September 11, 2001 something terrible and horrific occurred. Four planes came crashing on to U.S soil. One crashed into a field in Pennsylvania, another crashed into the Pentagon, and the other two planes crashed into the World trade center, otherwise known as the twin towers. This was the biggest terrorist attack that had ever happened on U.S soil.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran’s President, didn’t believe that this horrible event happened. He called 9/11 a “big lie”. He thinks that the United States set up 9/11 as a reason to invade Afghanistan and start the war on terror. This was not the first time Ahmadinejad questioned a historical event. He also questioned the existence of the Holocaust. Ahmadinejad called it a myth. He said that Europeans made up the holocaust so they could create a state for the Jews in the Islamic country.

Ahmadinejad also said these types of things about 9/11. He said, “September 11 was a big lie and a pretext for the war on terror and a prelude to invading Afghanistan.” Mahmoud Ahmadinejad asked a lot of questions. One of them was, “How is it possible that with the best radar system and intelligence networks, the planes could crash undetected into the towers?” He also said things like “A building collapsed and they said 3,000 people had been killed but never published their names.”

I think that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is completely wrong to question why and if these events occurred. The United States has proof that 9/11 happened. There are videos and pictures of 9/11 and if it was a lie then there wouldn’t be any of those things. There have also been memorial services for the people who died and all the names of those people were read. I also think that Ahmadinejad questioning the holocaust was wrong. There are survivors and pictures of the events that happened in the holocaust. I don’t think that anyone should question these types of things.
