Sandy Creek Massacre 

Fought between Southern Cheyenee Tribe. Happened in November 1864. United States won because they had we more fighters. Indians had lots of kids and women. Had very little men. Leader for US, John Chivington. Indian leader was Black Kettle. Had 70-163 killed for the Southern Cheyenne Tribe. 24 killed and 52 wounded for the Colorado Volunteer US Calvary. 

Red River War 

Started conflicted between the Natives and the Westward Settlers. Location was at the Texas Pan Handle. The US Army won because the Indians surrendered. Leader of the Indians were Lone Wolf. Leader for the US was Colonial Nelson A. Miles. Happened in 1874. Ended in 1875. 

Battle of Little Bighorn 

Happened in 1876. George Custer was the leader of the US. Crazy Horse was the leader. Lokota Sioux and Cheyenne Warriors were battling. Native Americans 136 warriors were killed. The U.S had 268 deaths lasted for less then an hour. Natives Americans won. 

Battle of Wounded Knee

U.s Army vs the Sioux Indians. Happened December 1890. Fought southwestern South Dakota. U.S military won because they overpowered, 500 people vs 300, and they had better weapons. 146 Sioux died in the massacre. Only 25 men from the Calvary died. The chief for the Indians was Bigfoot. The battle was over in less than a hour.
