Columbus (1492) - Didn't really find America. The vikings did. Columbus actually just stumbled across America. He traveled on the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria. 

The Revolutionary War (1775-1781) - Was fought between the British and The Thirteen Colonies. Key people were George Washington, Major Events were The Battle of Lexington and Concord. Paul Reveres Midnight ride. Boston Tea Party, and Battle of Yorktown. Good impacts were hand a new country, no king, own government. Negatives was minimal Allies, few trade partners, they had to create there own government. 

Civil War (1861-1865) - America's bloodiest battle. Was divided by the north (Union) and the south (Confederacy). North wanted equal rights for everybody. South wanted slavery. Lincoln was the commander and chief for the Union. Jefferson Davis was the president of the confederacy. 

Thomas Edison created The Quadruples Telegraph in 1874. He created the First Version copy machine in 1876 made of cast iron. The phonograph allowed people to record music. 

Constitution (1787) - Had Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branch. Executive made up by the President. Legislative made up by Congress. Judicial is made up by the supreme court. 

The War of the 1812 (1812-1815) - United States vs British Empire. Fought because of block trade. The British was in two wars. They were fighting American and the French. The British paid more attention to the French because they thought that they would be more of a threat. The British invaded Washington D.C. and burned down the White House. 

Native People Crossing the Bering Strait (12,000 BC) - End of the last Ice Age glaciers froze-sea levels drop 300 it across the world. Water freezing and locking up water, sea floor being exposed. 

Jamestown Settlement (1607) - The first successful European settlement in the New World (North America). It had a huge impact on the US because without it we would never have formed as a country. 

Delacration of Independence - The 13 colonies wanted freedom from England. Was signed by people among the 13 colonies. It helped create a government for the people.
