The Watergate Scandal last two years. From 1972 to 1974. It took place in the United States. At the beginning of the Watergate Scandal, five men broke in to an office in the Watergate Hotel. It was a Democratic Party National Committee office. All five of the men were arrested on the same day as the break in. Bernard Barker, Virgilo Gonzales, Eugenio Martinez, James W. McCord, and Frank Sturgis were the five men who broke in.

Although the FBI had clearly found evidence, on August 19th, president Nixon said that the Watergate Scandal had no connection to the White Hour what-so-ever.
