Joni Ernst, a hard working, honest, and intelligent woman who is a Senator for Iowa, voted in January 3, 2015. Joni is a veteran and is the first woman to serve in the military and is the woman to represent Iowa in the United States Congress. Ernst lives in Red Oak, Iowa, located only an hour away from here, Harlan, Iowa.
I feel that Joni Ernst has made an impact on Iowan women, doing this by being successful and striving to be the best. Joni went to Iowa State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology. She then attended Columbus College obtaining her Master of Public Administration degree. She has earned a spot in the United States Congress. This is not an easy thing to do, whether you are naturally gifted with intelligence, communication skills, and being able to work with other people. She definitely had to work hard in school. Making an entire state like you sounds very overwhelming, as it probably is. She made it look easy and was very successful.
Overall, Joni Ernst is a woman who has accomplished a lot in her life, and in my opinion should be an idol for women. She has showed that women don’t have to do what most women think they are limited to do. I think that Joni has showed courage in competing the way she has, and competing in what she’s competed in. She has shown what all women are capable of and has boosted women’s confidence and drive to be the best.
