John F. Kennedy's Assassination

John F. Kennedy was visiting Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963 during his electoral battle tour in the south of the states when he was shot in the head by Lee Harvey Oswald. Him and governor John Connally along with their wives were in the limo of the President which was led by the motorcade through town when he was shot.

The limo showed up Elm Street, as it passed the Stemmons Freeway sign Governor Connally's wife noticed some kind of gunshots. She saw JFK taking his hand to his throat which was covering a shooting wound. A few seconds later Governor Connally was shot in the back. Seconds later everyone could hear the third shot that took place. It was a headshot that wounded Connally. This was the last fatal shot at the Dealey Plaza that day.

Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested for the murder of JFK and also shooting a police officer 45 minutes after the shots were fired. He used an Italian Mannlicher- Carcano Rifle Two days later, that Sunday morning Oswald was supposed to be handed over to the State Prison but was shot by Jack Ruby in the garage of the police building. Hundreds of journalists and millions of television watchers saw.
