Mr. Bruns is going over the classroom rules and expectations. We talked about the Intro quiz and went over all the questions. The United States is in close to 19 trillion dollars in debt. To get out of debt every US citizen would have to pay the government a check of $58,388 and we would be out for a minute at the most. Interest on debt is not helping the national debt, actually increasing it. This year we have made 3.3 trillion but spent close to 7 trillion. Before the 1930's we didn't have a lot of problems. The debt has doubled since George W. Bush. The front runners of the presidential election are D. Trump and Hilary Clinton. North Korea and nuclear testing with the countries that have nuclear weapons. Above ground nuclear testing has been banned for a while not but people still do test underground and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. If you signed the treaty you can't use nuclear weapons, but you can use nuclear power. The missile defense system protects us from incoming missiles fired at us. The United Nations was created to keep peace in the world. China, France, Russia, U.S., and U.K. are the most powerful in the world.
