January 4-8th

Tuesday - Mr. Bruns is going through the rules and expectations. 

Wednesday - Medicare is for the elderly and medicare is for the homeless, these are two major parts of U.S. debt.

                        In the great depression, all the banks closed down and everyone is losing their money and going hungry. The government made social security, which help people greatly. They were able to get food with the new addition.

                        Net interest on debt is not helping  us, because it is extra money we have to pay. 

                       Things changed in the 1930s because of wars, then debt went up even more in the 1980s, and comes present day america. Under the control of Obama. 

                       We can't just print more money, because then it would become worthless.

                       ISIS (Islamic state in Iraq and Levant) , a terrorist group, causing deaths. They want to be a country. ISIS started after 2003. The difference between Al-Qaeda and ISIS, is that ISIS is more radical than them.

                      Turkey IS an ally of the U.S.

Thursday - Trump is not leading in Iowa, but every where else he is doing really well. Some people like Trump, possibly, for the reason that he pays for everything from his own pocket. 

                  A Hydrogen bomb was said to be dropped by North Korea. North Korea is one of the poorest countries, they only focus on military. 

                  We will be talking about North Korea, ISIS, and politics this semester.

Friday - We took the continents and oceans test today.

              We are talking about North Korea--- pyongyang is the capital.

              The U.S. has 800 military bases around the world. 

              We watched a video of how nukes were tested.
