so, today we started with taking a write to learn test.now we're talking about presentations.. honestly i already know like all of this. one thing i did learn was now we can make a video documentary instead of doing the presentation. i think that this is a great idea. (:moving on to blog discussion...............................................................................................................................................................tara benner- entertainment in the 1930s:radios became very popular, radios, dramas, childrens programs, war of the worlds, orson wells was a huge radio soap opera person, people thought that the drama was a real news broadcast and began to beleive that aliens were really taking over the world. movies became popular.. such as gone with the wind, snow white and the seven dwarfs, wizard of oz, which was one of the first color movies, and a colorful movie it is indeed. the 1930s was known as the golden age of hollywoodemily boeck-fireside chats:when president rooosevelt would get on the radio and would tell americans that their actions are important too and tell them they need to rely on the banks, and he made people feel like they were important. he was one of the first people to do this. people felt like he was really talking directly to them.ben bruck- wpa:works progress administration, it helped people get jobs that didnt have them, they were jobs that would last a long time such as constructionkaley cooper- john coloier:man who studied the native americans and realized that we were not treating them right and he was one of the first people who tried to help them,riley finn- social security act:it gave insurance to retired people over 65, it gave money to people who were unemployed, it gave money to families with disabled childrenzack harriscourtney hytreck- environment:signed the taylors act to protect the envoronment with grazing, made acts with hydroelectric electricityashley johanssen- movies:gone with the wind was the most popular movie of the 1930s. there were a lot of actors. movies were to escape hardships from the depression. they lowered the prices so that everyone could goaustin kesterson- nriahelped people with trade, made to help the economy, they increased wages, made the economy twice as badzach kloewer- federal reserve bank:was the central bank of the world, the backup system of major moneynato- francis perkinsshe was the first us woman to hold a cabinet position, she was the head of the department of labor.
