What made the 1920's "roaring," fun, and exciting?Prosperity was booming.People were buying more things.It was a time where America had the highest standard of living in the world.There was more production.It was the jazz age.There were more electric appliances.There was the invention of the automobile.There was more independence.There were higher wages.Henry Ford created the five dollar day.There were more buying powers with the raised wages.People were given more benefits from the work.They started buying on credit, so now more people were able to get things.More Americans moved to cities for a better life.Cities built more cities, theatres, and skyscrapers.Cities expanded wider into the suburbs.The automobile changed almost every aspect of American life.There was more casual dating.There were drive in movies.Teenagers had more independence from their parents.Women were granted the right to vote.More women had paying jobs.More women were going to high school and colleges.More women were engaged in sports activities.More women were moving away from their families.Women cut their hair.Women went to speak-easies.Women wore looser clothing.“Flappers.”The country got electrified during this time.New household appliances made house work easier.Advertising was more popular, and it informed them about things that were in the market place that were able to improve their lives.There was the radio.People cared more about their hygiene.There was more simple affordable fashion for women.There were more exciting movies.Movies were the most powerful and influential medium in the United States.There were more groups and organizations fighting for black rights.There was the heavy weight championship fight.It was the golden age of sports.“Lucky Lindy” flew over the Atlantic Ocean.
