Jan. 22nd- Charles Lindbergh: "Lucky Lindy" Amelia Earhart disappeared around Howland Island. In 1925, Tennessee passed the first law making it illegal. Scopes taught evolution and was arrested. Clarence Darrow was hired by the ACLU to defend Scopes. William Jennings Bryan was the special prosecutor. Scopes didn't deny teaching evolution. Trial was really about evolution in schools.
