Iran Sentences 5 to Death.

In Tehren, Iran there has been a recent election. After the election there were protests. Because of the protests there has been 5 people that sentenced to death and another 81 that are now in prison. The 81 people in prison have to serve a term of 6 months to 18 years. The 5 people that got sentenced to death were guilty for being part of a terrorist group and carrying out bombs across Iran. The 81 people that are in prison were guilty of lots of things. This includes acting against the countries goals and strong drive for success, making it a unpeaceful place, and causing damage to property. That government has just let out that there were three protest-related deaths in October. Of the eight people with death as a possibility right now, there were at least five of them that were identified by reformist web sites. Those five are:-Reza Khademi-Mohammad Reza Ali-Zamani-Arash Rahmanipour-Naser Abdolhasani-Hamed Rohaninejad. On the first day of the trial of the French academics, they also arrested some protestors that ended Tuesday. The defense was offering in an opening statement. The Fars News Agency announced that there would be a second session sometime but they haven’t decided when for sure. The French ambassador has now escorted a lady, Clotilde Reiss, who is 24 to the court room. This is what the woman’s lawyer told the Fars News Agency. She was one of the 4,000 people who were protesting on the June 12th election that was supposedly rigged. Many of them did not approve of the presidential election when Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won with a landslide. All of his opponents and rivals say the votes were rigged so he would win again. Clotilde Reiss has been released from prison is temporarily living at the French embassy waiting for her trial. Media has said that she admitted to taking part in crimes, illegal actions, but she is asking for forgiveness. Iran people are accusing the government in forcing the people to make such confessions.I think that they made a lot of people go to prison for causing damage. I think they should have some kind of punishment but I wonder how long they are going to make them stay in prison. People should just respect others and live their life. Why would you want to spend your life in prison? It doesn't make sense to me. I feel bad for Clotilde Reiss, since she was chosen out of 4000 people protesting. Even though she had parts in crimes and illegal moves, I think the other people should get checked on their background to see if she deserves that kind of punishment.
