Iran plans to launch a five day military exercise. It is to help prepare them for aerial attacks on their nuclear plants. Many people are worried about Iran having nuclear weapons. Iran has said that it is only for public energy and medical research. Although, when then were asked about shipping it for medical research to another country, they refused. The United States, Russia, China, Germany, France and the United Kingdom, and the European Union have been trying to find a way to ease the fear they have caused because of the test fire in September and then the military exercise that they are planning now.
They are trying to agree on a deal to offer Iran, so that Iran doesn't have very many raw materials that are used to make nuclear bombs. Obama has a bad feeling about the "consequences" if Iran doesn't take the plan. On some news recently in Iran it said that they are producing partly enriched uranium up to 20 percent. Because the can enriching uranium to a level more than 5 percent inside the country, people think that they should use it to fuel their Tehran reactor. It is a nuclear research center; it is in Tehran. Iran still wants to buy the fuel from another country. They seem to think that fuel would work better.
I thought this was interesting, but also I think this is all really scary. The fact that they are practicing for an aerial attack makes me think that they are expecting someone to make and aerial attack on their nuclear power plants for some reason. I don't really know, but the whole situation with Iran seems fishy to me.
