Hot and Cold Media Cycle

Well after reading that article I think some of the senators main points are that the media really only goes with the present trend is, whether it is an impending ice age or a rapidly heating world. The media has flip flopped back and forth between trying to make people believe that the world is heating up because of us or that it is cooling down. He also points out that some of the points that are used in "proving" the existence of global warming are really bits and pieces of information put together to make it seem like a real thing, when really they choose information that makes it look real and disregard all the facts that point to the other side of the issue. Things like the warm period in the middle ages and the "little ice age" in the 1900s are ignored because it doesn't help prove global warming, in fact it disproves it.

In my opinion global warming is really just a hoax to scare people. I think that our world is out of balance and needs help, but I don't think we are the cause of global warming. I think we are hurting the earth and maybe even sort of killing it but that doesn't mean we are the cause of everything that goes wrong with it. I have one point of my own against global warming, something my father and I have discussed thouroughly, If the world is heating up and everything is our fault, was it our fault when the last real ice age melted? Were we to blame when the glaciers began to recede thousands of years ago? I think that we give ourselves too much credit, to think that we could have such a great impact on a world that was functioning and going through these changes billions of years before we even existed.
