Fads- board games because of their increased free time. Bicycles.

Inventions- Jukebox, escalators, shredded wheat, tractor.

World fairs- Omaha in 1898 to show development of East coast. Nashville in 1897 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Tennessee joining the Union.

Famous people- Thomas Edison

Presidential election- Benjamin Harrison, Grover Cleveland.
