Health Care Bill

Well as we all know the health care reform bill was passed on March 23, 2010 after many struggles between Democrats and Republicans. Our old health care was basically supplied by independent companies and that is what the Republicans think we should have kept but just improved it. This new system is a government sponsored system that will guarantee health care to 32 million Americans who are currently uninsured.

People are angry about this bill because it will cause an increase in taxes all over, including a 10% tax on tanning. All in all the estimated cost for ten years of this plan will be 940 billion dollars. The new bill includes clauses that allow children to stay on their parents’ plans until age 26. Also none of the companies will be forced to cover abortion with the insurance. That decision will remain with the state governments.

Honestly I don't know what I think about this whole health care bill. I agree with the whole not forcing them to cover abortion and of course providing the health care for all the americans who can't afford it because a lot of the insurance rates are borderline ridiculous. I'm pretty sure that I don't agree with raising all the taxes and putting random taxes on stuff like tanning. I'm not sure what I think about letting the kids stay on the plan until their 26 because they need to get on their own and learn how to do all that, but then again 26 is still really young.
