At the moment, a major issue in America is health care. President Obama would like to change health care to help strengthen our economy. The US is one of the countries that pays the most for health care. Because it is a common cause that leads to bankrupcy, Obama thinks that this new system will help our economy and hopefully help restore it. Our current health care system is one of the most expensive in the world right now. Our policy works like this; Either you or your company buys your health care, but it is possible for you to pay part of it and your company to pay for part of it. You pay premiums to the company and they invest them to make more money or use them to cover the medical expenses for their clients. Say you get hurt and need to go to the hospital. Well, how our current system works is that you pay for a co-payment up front. Insurance company covers whatever you agreed on. Whatever they don't pay, you have to. Sometimes, if you can't afford health care, and you meet certain qualifications, the government will pay for either part or all of your health care. Even though they say it's the government paying for it, it's really tax payer's dollars, which I don't find fair at all when they not only have to pay for their own health care, now they have to pay for someone elses. In Obama's plan, he is trying to make health care available to everyone. A couple of major concerns I have are that we will loose the right to choose your our own doctors, elderly people being denied necessary operations, and illegal immigrants benefiting from his plan.I'll start with the right to choosing your own doctor. In this plan, I guess if you don't like your doctor, there isn't much you can do about it. You will be assigned a primary care physician. From the sounds of it, whatever they decide is best for you is what you'll have to live with. I think older people will be neglected because as I understand it, the government says well, you don't have that much longer to live anyways, so basically it's not worth it. The last one is a major concern that ticks me off. It does not seem fair that illegal immigrants can come here and get away with it to begin with, but us having to pay for their health care really gets me angry. In his plan, it says that "H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on noncitzens—whether legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently." -excerpt from health care proposal. This is how I have understood Obama's health care. Unless something drastically changes, or I'm just not understanding it, I would have to say I am totally against Obama's proposed health care plan.

This is also being denied by the Obama administration. John McCain even says this will not happen under Obama's plan.

Of course, this assumes that you believe that Obama is telling the truth. Many believe he is not.

This is proven not to be true by "experts".
