51 year old John Boudrot was put into a medical coma because of H1N1. John claims he hardly ever gets sick, and never gets flu shots. In late August what started with a cough, ended up being the H1N1.Both he and Renee caught it but only Renee bounce back three days later. While John was taken to the ICU and put into a medical coma. His organs were all shut down and was paralyzed, all part of the procedure to help get rid of H1N1. Renee was told that John only had a 10% chance to live. He was taking tamiflu but it wasn’t enough. Dr. Robin Dretler was given permission from the food & drug administration to use an experimental drug called Peramivir. Five days later John is out of his coma and into physical therapy relearning how to talk walk and many other stuff. Both John and Dr. Robin Dretler believe that the peramivir saved his life.This is amazing he almost died! I do thing that Peramivir saved his life, but having to learn, no RE-learn every thing has to suck. I talk to my family about this (more like just my mom and uncle) and my uncle said that he thinks H1N1 will mutate into something worse. That only worried my mom but I don’t believe It will.
