Me Mumm and Kyle got together again at my place to watch a movie on my PS3 via Netflix. We chose to watch “God on Trial” .This movie wasn’t action filled like a lot of WWII movies, but it gets you to think on a deeplevel and I liked it for that.
Based on a true story, the movie was almost like a documentary, and takes place at Auschwitz during the holocaust. The Jewish men live in a poorly conditioned woodenbarracks. When they’re not working, they just sit in there barracks and ponder. Why them? Why Gods chosen people? How could God let this happen?

So angry and confused, they decide to put God on trial. The men on there block were made up mostly of educated men such as professors, scholars, rabbis, and a judge. They set up a make shift court room in their sleepingquarters with a table and two chairs. The judge resides over the court and theother men serve as witnesses, defendants, and prosecutors.
The main charge brought to god was whether or not he broke his covenant with the Jewish people. Some men openly denied God or called him an unjust or evil god, while others stood strong with their faith and defendedGod whenever possible. Some scholars with expense knowledge of the Torah triedto stay in the middle. Knowing that the selection for the chambers was the nextday the discussions continued to grow in passion.
It would not be right if I told you the verdict the men came up with, but I can tell you that the selection came the next day many men were sent to the gas chambers. This movie is a great movie for those who can thinkvery deeply and comprehend most of what was going on. I personally loved it. itmakes me think about some of their arguments even though I’m not Jewish. I wouldrecommend this movie to anyone.
