Are humans the ones responsible for global warming, or is it something else? The media has been scaring the public by saying there is going to be intense cooling or warming. If the climate or weather changes, alarmist blame it on global warming. Even when the humans did not exist, the planet was still going through dramatic warm and cold temperatures. Journalists are always saying global warming is so bad, but in the twentieth century there might have been evidence that it might have been good thing. There are a lot of problems with the theory that C02 is causing it. After the Little Ice Age, temperatures started getting warmer, and there wasn’t any C02 that could have caused it at that time. As scientists learn more and more about global warming they question the fact that humans have caused it or not. It turns out that 50% of the melting in Antarctica is due to the sun, and that it is getting colder there. Who really knows if we are the ones causing global warming?Models that have no Antarctica on the map are not true scientists say. Some celebrities have even tried to get more people to stop global warming. Global warming is not even that important compared to other things like diseases, and poverty. James Inhofe stated 100 year media history on what the media was going to say next, warming or cooling. Time magazine has just been alarming and worrying the people of extreme cooling and heating temperatures, and Inhofe says, “American people should be worried a lot more about shoddy journalism." Mr. Gore made, “An Inconvenient Truth,” and it has so many mistakes that over 80% of the scientist asked did not agree with it. Reporters always say that polar bears are not doing well, but they are actually doing fine. “Of the thirteen populations of polar bears in Canada, 11 are stable or increasing in number.”I have never really believed that we have been the cause of global warming. I have heard that global warming even existed when the dinosaurs were around. I don’t think that we are the main source of global warming we might be contributing to it, but we are not the main source. My reaction to this article was shocking, because I didn’t realize how much journalist are really just trying to scare us. Reporters really are not telling the truth, and Americans deserve to know what really is happening in our World.
