george Washington Carver was born in 1865. he was born into slavery, his slavers treated him as if he was their own child after slavery was abolished, and encourged him to continue in his education. he went to collage at Simpson College but transfered over to Iowa State Argicultural College
Carvers main intrest was in helping poor Southern farmers replace cotton, he helped with crop rotaion, and using peanuts in many diffrent items. he wanted to allow the farmers to make enough food for themselves and to sell.
