Today in CWI, we started off with giving our presentation. We did a video on climate change/global warming. I thought it was pretty funny, but not very many were laughing. I guess I just laugh at a lot of things. After our project, the class gave us feedback on our video. They thought if was funny and good. So that was good. (: They thought we balanced the humor and information good. Bruns said that we could add a slide or something with important information so people could take notes on it. Sometimes the video goes too fast for writers. The class also gave us suggestions and constructive advice. Bruns said we could've tried and not had people laugh in the background. AKA MOLLY!!!We watched Jessica, Bri, Erin, and DJ's powerpoint. They did it on the second part of climate change. Their main points were the Kyoto protocal, IPCC Summary reports and what needs to happen to help prevent and slow down climate change. Climate change is any long term significant cahnge in the weather patterns of an area - it is global warming right now. Kyoto Protocol is an international agreement created by the UN. They came up with it in Kyoto, Japan. Their goal is to reduve effects of climate change. In Frebruary 2009, 183 countries have signed/agreed to follow the Kyoto Protocol which is to elimate the amoujnt of greenhouse gases their country puts in the air. The US has signed it, but hasn't made it a low because we are scared a lot of people will lose their jobs.Erin talked about the IPCC Summary report. It was put out in 2007. It stands for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. They did small tests to see if there would be a climate change in those countries. And we ran out of time.
