The Cuban Missle Crisis
Happened in October 1962. This was the clostest thing we have ever gotten to all out nuclear war. The U.S had great technology being able to hit any where with there missles while the USSR didnt. Fidel Castro came to power and along with he brought communism. Fidel said that an attack on Cuba would lead to a world war. We start to suspect that there are missles in Cuba. Kennedy's advisors order quarentine of Cuba. Guantamamo Bay was a United States base in Cuba.
Bay of Pigs Invastion
On April 17, 1961 Fidel Castro promised not to bring Communism into Cuba. He didnt like the United States and it was a complete failure.
