Fascism is when a government rules and controls their people and society but doesn't take over businesses. They are really serious about having a big military too. Italy was promised land for joining the allied powers by the French British and Russians but didn't end up getting it. It was not the allied powers land to give, Orlando(leader of Italy) came home embarrased and empty handed. Italians turned against him. Italy's national debt was six times its pre-war level. Chamber of Deputies were corrupt and turned to bribery. Benito Mussoulini started the Fascist party in 1919. The Italian people felt betrayed, Mussoulini was like Hitler and pulled people in with what he promised them. In the 1921 election Benito Mussoulini was elected in the Chamber of Deputies. Political tension rose between the Fascists and Communists.
